Channing Tatum Is Basically a Harvard Student Now

The Magic Mike star is taking his moves to higher education

Channing Tatum is a regular Renaissance man: he’s a dancer, actor, husband, and father. Now, he can add Ivy League scholar to that list.

The Magic Mike star stopped in at Harvard Business School yesterday to participate in an Executive Education course on the business of entertainment, media and sports. (Seems right up his alley.) The program is an alternative to a traditional MBA created to “empower senior executives to reflect, recharge, and reemerge as visionary leaders.”
Tatum wasn’t the only celebrity to drop by the hallowed halls of higher education. Basketball stars Pau Gasol and Chris Paul and musician LL Cool J are also students in the program.

This particular class, taught by Professor Anita Elberse, is called “Strategic Marketing in Creative Industries” and is one of the most sought-after courses in the curriculum, according to the school’s website. Tatum participated in a “live case,” in which the students discussed the impact that dance movies have had on Hollywood—a subject with which Tatum is, obviously, intimately familiar.
